Shrimp Acclimation

Congratulations on your shrimp purchase!

Drip Method (recommended)

Place shrimp in a small container .   Using small airline tubing, knot one end about 2-3 inches from the end.  This will be the end that will be near the shrimp container dripping water in small amounts.   Tighten or loosen the knot to increase or lower drip rate. 

Place shrimp container lower than the tank you want to acclimate them to.   

Place other end of tubing into water of their future home.   Using your mouth you want to siphon the water into the tubing until it starts to drip out of the end.  

Let the water drip for about 30-40 minutes checking on it periodically to make sure it does not overfill.  Once the water level has about doubled in size, you should be good to add shrimp to your tank! 

Now sit back and relax and watch them enjoy their new home!
